Position Summary:

On the Verticals Engineering team at Walmart, we provide technology to power shopping journeys that help hundreds of millions of customers live better. We strive to create the best shopping experience anywhere, anytime, meeting customers' evolving needs and expectations.

About Team:

Our team works closely with our eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What You'll Do:

  1. Help us build the next generation of UI experiences.
  2. Integrate APIs and Web Services.
  3. Implement best practices and design patterns.
  4. Troubleshoot business and production issues.
  5. Thrive in a high-energy, agile development environment.

What You'll Bring:

  1. Experience building customizable, reusable, and dynamic front-end components using ReactJS, Redux, Node.js and Next.js.
  2. Experience with Typescript and ECMAScript 6.
  3. Experience in interactive and responsive web development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and SASS for mobile and tablet.
  4. Experience in integrating APIs and Web Services.
  5. Experience with unit testing frameworks: Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, and Chai.
  6. Experience with Jenkins (CI/CD).
  7. Strong understanding of web services, component integration, cookies, headers, and server-to-server communication.
  8. Experience working on browser performance and optimization.
  9. Good understanding of product engineering and experience working closely with product managers and designers.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science and 5 years' experience in software engineering OR Master of Science.

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer Care, Customer Service, Information Technology, Project Management, Retail Operations, Support, Technical Strategy, Troubleshooting.
