VP of Enterprise Account Management - Managed Transportation
The VP of Enterprise Account Management is personally accountable for the health of the relationship with the client and achieving revenue targets for existing clients. There is no expectation for winning new clients as the sales team is responsible for new client acquisition. In this role you will lead a team that regularly meets with the client to pro-actively drive a process of continuous improvement. It is a strategic role that requires consulting with the client and aligning their ongoing needs with solutions the company provides. The team serves as fractional logistics managers for clients and consults, designs solutions, solves problems and implements solutions to the client with the support of their peer; heavily relying on Business Intelligence reporting and data to make business decisions. Fifty percent of the Enterprise Account Manager's time is spent reviewing data in the client's BI space to proactively identify areas of improvement, and the remaining 50% of the time is spent collaborating with the client to drive additional improvements including freight cost savings, service improvements, or process efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time/work from home

Responsibilities:

  • Business plan creation and execution for a minimum of 100% plan attainment.
  • Develop and report leading indicators to plan attainment (KPI’s).
  • Follow company procedures but provide leadership, coaching and accountability to a 5 member EAM team.
  • Customer relationship management, solution design, and problem resolution.
  • Assume full accountability for the health and growth of the client relationship.
  • Communicate customer requirements and collaborate with the team to ensure alignment for an optimized client experience.
  • Leverage BI dashboards, reports, and other data for ongoing client consulting.
  • Collaborate with clients and direct their freight management processes to drive continuous improvement through weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings and business reviews.
  • Collaborate with project management, operations and reporting team to drive SLA performance and reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • Proven history of success, validated by referrals upon request.
  • 5-7 years plus of account management and/or consulting experience in Supply Chain Management, Freight Management, or the 3PL marketplace. This includes an expert level understanding of both domestic and international freight.
  • Strong leadership presence, trustworthiness and respectability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures for effective freight management.
  • Past experience managing multiple large national accounts, where primary contacts range from managers, directors, and vice presidents to executive officers.
  • Solution design and/or consultative orientation.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and present complex material in an easily understood manner.
  • Proficiency in performance metrics, P&L’s, trend analysis and other reports.
  • Must be self-directed with strong attention to detail.
  • Adaptive and flexible, team oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong goal achievement orientation.
  • High energy, positive attitude, with the ability to think creatively on your feet and handle multiple priorities.
  • Adept in the use of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Additional consideration given to those with experience using PowerBI.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, logistics, supply chain or related work experience. Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • Ability to travel to client sites one or two days per month.
