We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to come join our team as a Drop In Coach at Rediscovery Independent Living ! We are an independent living program that houses young men and women ages 18 to 24 years old in small efficient-type apartments or shared living housing. Our program is designed to support the youth we serve as they become successful and productive community members.
Schedule: This position is part-time, including night and weekend shifts.
Salary: Starting at $23/hr
We Provide The Training So That:
• Learn about our mission and culture.
• Period of time for orientation; specific to the site and individuals-served.
• Provide support for the individuals we serve by "dropping in" in their independent apartment setting to help ensure compliance with program rules
• Help maintain a safe independent living apartment by providing searches for contraband that are not allowed in our programs.
• Provide crisis management if there were to be a crisis during a visit to one of the individuals we serve.

Requirements:
• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with older at-risk youth and young adults (17-23 y.o.) preferred.
• Residential program or mental health program experience required; experience working with specialized populations of adolescents required.
• At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our youth!
• Must have an active driver's license.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.
