Mental Health Department (Classification 770)
SEIU Represented Full Time (37.5 hours/week) position

Job Summary

Linn County Mental Health Crisis Team is seeking an experienced Qualified Mental Health Associate to work with people of all ages who are experiencing crisis or transitioning from a hospital setting. Most work will occur in the community or in client homes. Experience with outreach and crisis interventions, case management, facilitating groups and providing skills training will be an important element for the successful applicant. Other areas involved with this position include Strong communication skills; computer skills, experience using electronic medical record; a background with mental health documentation, writing and supporting treatment goals; understanding of basic counseling and assessment, evidence-based practices. The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues as part of an interdisciplinary team and should possess the ability to be flexible with case and task assignments. Timely completion of paperwork and documentation is critical. This position may require evening and weekend work. This position is a Swing Shift position.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related behavior science field; or four years of progressive experience in a mental health service program involving general client needs; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Applicants must register with The Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) within 30 days of employment.
