Join our team as a General Manager for an exciting new restaurant opening in January 2025, featuring a vibrant luncheonette by day and a refined dining experience by night. We're seeking an outgoing leader with 3-5 years of management experience in hospitality, a passion for seasonally driven cuisine, and a strong knowledge of wine. For dinner, Confidant will transform to a place of comfort and luxury.  Showcasing a seasonal a la carte menu with a 6-course tasting menu and chef table experience that will spotlight the ingenuity and creativity of the Confidant team.  Confidant & its Luncheonette are committed to matching the vibrant innovation and excitement of Industry City and its historic roots through a high level execution, and an intentional, relentlessly evolving menu

Key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service 
  • Lead and manage the F&B team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed 
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally 
  • To assist in the recruitment and training of F&B Colleagues 
  • Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
  • Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings 
  • Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions 
  • Have full knowledge of all menus and offerings
  • Manage the departmental budget 
  • Follow restaurant policies, procedures and service standards 
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage 
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a high-end,  fine dining establishment.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations,  including financial management,  staff management,  and guest service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve business objectives and drive profitability.
