About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader - Design to join our growing design department. In this role, you will lead a team of talented professionals, managing the design and engineering of aquatic facilities that bring lasting impacts to communities. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, driving innovation, and aligning your team with the firm’s strategic goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure team members reach their full potential.
  • Manage the execution of design projects, ensuring high standards in product delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Drive innovation in creative design and engineering solutions while maintaining Counsilman Hunsaker's leadership in the industry.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, representing the firm's values and building long-term partnerships.
  • Play a key role in business development, contributing to new opportunities and maintaining our position as a leader in aquatic design.
  • Oversee a team responsible for $2 million in annual revenue production, managing operations and aligning with strategic objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Professional licensure (PE or Architect) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in team leadership or management roles within the design or engineering industry, ideally with an aquatic focus.
  • Strong understanding of aquatic design and engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a focus on business development.


Tools & Technology:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite and AutoCAD required.
  • Revit experience preferred.
