**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:00), Variable start (11:00/13:00/15:00), Every Other Weekend On Call As Needed
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours/week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years required
**License:** California RN License
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
**Must-Have:** Epic experience preferred
**Job Description:**
- Apply principles of the nursing process while adhering to unit, departmental, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the overall management of nursing care provided, ensuring competent, compassionate, and cost-effective patient care from admission to discharge.
- Assure the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients, incorporating disease prevention and restorative measures.
- Respond to medical and environmental emergencies efficiently and effectively.
- Plan and coordinate care delivery to maximize efficiency and maintain a safe environment.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing and medical staff for collaborative patient care.
- Coordinate the involvement of patients, physicians, families, and other health team members to manage care and resources optimally.
- Set priorities and direct emergency interventions with calm and competence.
- Exercise clinical judgment and critical thinking throughout the nursing process and unit activities.
- Administer treatments and medications and perform nursing skills in a timely manner.
- Maintain current knowledge of patient care status and monitor patient perceptions through rounds.
- Inform physicians of significant changes in patient's condition.
- Analyze, input, and integrate patient acuity levels accurately and promptly.
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients and families, considering biophysical, psychosocial, spiritual, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors.
- Develop and implement individualized, goal-directed care plans based on assessments.
- Document and communicate patient assessments, care plans, outcomes, and other essential information with health team members.
- Evaluate and modify care plans based on patient responses in collaboration with patients, families, and health disciplines.
