Serigraph is seeking a Project Engineer to support sales by developing robust product decorating solutions that fit our customers' budgets, technical requirements, and schedules. The Project Engineer works directly with customers from early design engagement through product launch and mass production. The Project Engineer ensures that awarded programs are aligned with Serigraph manufacturing capabilities while satisfying customer requirements for quality and cost. The Project Engineer is the technical lead and is ultimately responsible for new product development including regular communication with customers.
Project Engineer Responsibilities -

    • Support sales in the identification and qualification of new opportunities at targeted customers.
    • Recommend optimal decorating technologies based on application, performance requirements and cost targets.
    • Provide customer guidance and education on recommended decorating technologies.
    • Work with customer in development of product definition, including CAD Design, product performance specifications, blueprint tolerances, color callouts and lighting requirements.
    • Lead project evaluation and estimation, including; Provides rough cost estimates for early part design considerations, Review of all prints, artwork, CAD, color chips and specifications, Develop tooling and product cost estimates, along with timing for new program quotes, Leads completion of project risk assessment with cross-functional team, Coordinate the delivery of all customers driven project prototype builds.
    • Act as the project manager to lead all aspects of project launch through all phases of advanced product quality planning (APQP), including; Feasibility Testing / Prototypes, Product and Process Verification, PFMEA / Control Plan, Product and Process Validation, Capability Analysis, Run at rate, Pre-Production Approval Process, Safe Launch.
    • Participates in CI/Lean, VA/VE cost savings activities.
What we are looking for in a Project Engineer -
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience working for a manufacturing company producing technical / custom products. Injection molding of thermoplastics a plus.
    • Positional experience in Engineering, Program Management, Project Management, or other technical design role. Experience with Automotive supply chain highly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in a technical concentration is preferred, such as mechanical engineering, polymer/plastics engineering, or chemistry. Without a degree, equivalent experience is required.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong abilities to communicate technical information clearly and influence teams.
    • Ability to interpret technical product drawings, specifications and commercial terms and conditions.
    • Effective problem solving and analytical skills, utilizing fact-based decision making.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent computer skills; including PowerPoint and other software presentation tools, Word, Access, and Excel.
    • Travel up to 15% of the time.
