Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in accordance with the company’s values and beliefs and in alignment with Fisk’s policies. Responsible for following all local, county, state and federal laws and company policies related to the position.As a Senior Estimator at Fisk Electric, reporting to The Chief Estimator, you will have the opportunity to:Attends pre-bid reviews and understands the complete scope of work requiredVisits construction sites for job walks and meetingsReviews and understands all project bid documentsLocates, notifies, and sends bid information to subcontractors and vendors for quotes on outsourced workCompletes estimate takeoff, using on-screen computer estimating to meet deadlinesCompletes change order estimates for awarded projectsFinalizes the estimate on time and participates in team review with management on bid dayEvaluates bids of subcontractors and vendors for completeness of scope of work, schedule, specification compliance, or other bid requirementsPrepares value analysis in anticipation of the customer’s best interestDevelops the scope of work narrativeAssists field operations with the estimate after bid award and at project closeoutPrepares proposal letters including scope of work, inclusions, exclusions, and clarificationsMeets proposal due date schedulesAnticipates requirements of producing estimates with little information givenProvides consistent follow-up for feedback on bid/proposal, and reports results to managementEnforces compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, safety standards and reports variances to Chief EstimatorREQUIREMENTS:Undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field; equivalent combination of technical training and work related experience in lieu of degreeMinimum of five years commercial construction and conceptual estimating experienceProficient in Microsoft office programs and computerized on-screen takeoff programsExperience with Accubid or similar software, we currently use McCormickFisk Electric builds extraordinary projects and we need exceptional talent.
