Are you a passionate Food Scientist with a flair for product development? Our client, a leading company in the food industry, is seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in creating innovative food products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, prototype, and refine new food formulations, recipes, and products from scratch.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring ideas from concept to market, leveraging your culinary education and experience.
- Work across multiple major food categories, demonstrating versatility and innovation in your product development efforts.
- Navigate ambiguity and creatively solve challenges in the formulation process, focusing on continuous improvement and optimization.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and insights, ensuring that product development aligns with market needs and trends.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in product development, with a strong emphasis on formula and recipe development. Candidates with experience in quality control, regulatory roles, or research will also be considered, provided they demonstrate a clear focus on product development.
- Food Categories: Proven experience in developing products across various food matrices (e.g., bakery, beverage, confectionary) is essential. Candidates with a record of success in 2-3 categories will be prioritized.
- Innovation: Demonstrated ability to create novel formulations and products that stand out in the market.
- Customer Interaction: Previous customer-facing experience is highly valued, as it enhances the collaborative development process.
- Education: Bachelors in Food Science, or related degree. Masters in not essential, however preferred.
