Job Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Software Engineer with expertise in embedded cybersecurity, specifically in C++, to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are developing cutting-edge networking technologies for wireless communication systems, and this role involves working collaboratively to design, develop, and debug embedded software security products. This position also requires the application of information assurance principles and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies to obtain security certifications. Good communication skills are essential for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the program's lifecycle, including bid and proposal, development, testing, deployment, and engineering support. Presentation skills and the ability to work with vendors and customers in a professional manner are also important.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Can substitute a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Proficiency in C++ and understanding of modern object-oriented design and architecture.
  2. Experience developing for embedded real-time operating systems like VxWorks, MQX, FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, embedded Linux, etc.
  3. Knowledge of device driver development.
  4. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  5. Security certification such as CISSP or CEH.
  6. Experience with HAIPE devices, TEMPEST design technologies, QUADRANT design techniques, key management, internet security protocols, encryption protocols, and security ICs (TPM, trust and store, root of trust).
  7. Experience in developing security architectures or secure network design.
  8. Familiarity with secure coding guidelines and standards.
  9. Open source Linux development experience.
  10. Proficiency in using source control repositories like Git or Clearcase.
  11. Experience with test frameworks such as Google Test/Google Mock.
  12. Familiarity with agile development methodology and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence).
  13. Knowledge of machine learning, data analysis, and advanced algorithm design and development.
  14. Familiarity with DevOps technologies such as virtualization, Docker, scripting, and automation.
  15. Strong background in programming languages, compilers, and application execution.
  16. Experience with low-level drivers and hardware interfaces like ISO7816, USB, I2C, SPI, etc.
  17. Working knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, RS-485, RS-232.
  18. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, and Perl.
