Travel Nurse RN - PCU in Oklahoma City, OK

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Specialty Step Down
**Job Specialty:** FS
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Blocked weekends, Friday-Monday, 4x12 Hour shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 48 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience
**License:** Current RN License from an accredited state board of nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
**Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
**Must-Have:**
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Some computer skills
**Job Description:**
- Provide nursing care in a hospital setting to patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
- Assist physicians in the examination and treatment of patients, including minor diagnostic procedures
- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
- Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
- Deliver competent patient care
- Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
- Delegate tasks to support staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
**Preferred Skills & Experience:**
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a board-approved program
**Languages:** Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write)
