Job Overview:
The Payroll Specialist processes, balances and produces error-free paychecks in accordance with human resources and accounting policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of pay records. This position will continue to enable the TPG payroll department to meet the ADP/Engage payroll demands of the current portfolio of 112 properties and future acquisitions.
What you'll be doing:
High school education or equivalent experience. Payroll background and familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to complete and process payroll in compliance with Company policies and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality of pay records. Ability to timely compile facts/figures, identify and investigate issues and resolve basic matters. Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures. Ability to operate a computer, calculator, phone and other office equipment. Attention to details with good organizational and efficient time management skills. Microsoft Office fluency - Word, Excel, Power Point, and the ability to create excel formulas.
Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient. Ability to satisfy the legal requirements for employment within the jurisdiction.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs.

- Administration of garnishments and tax notices
- Direct deposit rejections
- Process uncashed / refunded check notifications.
- Monitor and manage state SUI rate changes.
- Timecard distribution
- Invoice recording keeping.
- Mail distribution.
- Maintain confidentiality and keep payroll records updated with current information, i.e. rates, W4 status, benefit status, address or telephone numbers, etc.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Any other tasks / duties as requested by management.
