Senior Software Developer

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to guide our web and mobile applications development team. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the software development lifecycle, maintaining up-to-date industry and market knowledge, and to reinforce a culture of high-quality software development.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the development teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies.
2. Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design concepts into interactive and visually appealing experiences.
3. Provide technical estimates and perform technical risk assessments for project planning.
4. Ensure that solutions meet regulatory, security, industry standards and contractual requirements.
5. Deliver high quality projects and products on-time and on-budget.
6. Coach and mentor the development team to grow our skill base.
7. Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
2. 8+ years of experience as a Web and Mobile Applications Developer.
3. 3+ years leadership experience in guiding and managing web and mobile application development teams.
4. Familiar and up to date with modern web development tools and methods.
5. Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full stack, end-to-end applications including enterprise solutions, iOS and Android mobile development.
6. Proficiency in the following languages: C / C++, JavaScript, C#.
7. Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue).
8. Experience with server-side technologies, such as Node.js and .NET.
9. Understanding of the UX/UI process and ability to translate UI designs to application implementation.
10. Best practices for CI/CD and version control.
11. Security minded and familiar with best practices in cyber security.
12. Experience implementing authentication and access control.
13. Able to effectively analyze project requirements and create execution plans.
14. Strong analytical, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
15. Understanding and experience with the full software development lifecycle and requirements development.
16. Strong understanding of Agile methodology, processes, and tools.
17. Must be a team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Understanding of web server technology, e.g., NGINX or Apache.
2. Familiarity with Graphic Engines (e.g., Unreal Engine or Unity).
3. Production software hosting and deployment.
4. Familiarity with microservice architecture and API development.
5. Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
6. Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud native system design (e.g., AWS, Azure).
7. Exposure to machine learning and data science application.
8. Exposure to mobile application development frameworks.
9. Experience with additional languages (e.g., Go, Python).

Citizenship or lawful permanent residency required due to the possibility of working on a federal contract.
