IT GENERALIST/ Java application developer

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS A SHIFT ROLE: Tues - Sat, 5:00AM - 1:30PM ET

Responsibilities:

1. 2+ years of application and infrastructure experience
2. 2+ years of hands-on experience with a shell scripting language such as bash or Perl
3. 2+ years of strong support skills in middleware technologies (WebLogic, Web Methods, Apache, Tomcat, MQ, IIS, etc.) in UNIX and/or Windows environment
4. Basic hands-on knowledge of Java, JEE, JSF, JPA, JSP, Web Services, HTML, XML, JDBC, SQL, OOA, and OOD concepts
5. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience, or be in process of achieving college degree
6. Basic knowledge of or experience with one or more databases (Sybase, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle) and security (firewall, AD, TAM, LDAP)
7. Basic proficiency with Java-based technologies

Preferred Skills:

1. Hands-on experience with Remedy or Service Now
2. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask; can set priorities and follow a timeline
3. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
4. Sound interpersonal and team-working skills
