Summary:

The Lifemed primary care clinic is a crucial part of Lifehouse’s continuum of care to serve the community, particularly individuals with substance use and mental health challenges. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced medical provider to join our integrated primary care clinic. The medical director will oversee operations of the medical clinic and collaborate with other areas of the agency related to client and community medical needs. Experience working with individuals with substance use challenges is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care.
  • Manage clinic staff.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Work with executive leadership to develop systems to ensure timely care and financial sustainability of the clinic.
  • Oversee medical components of crisis response in collaboration with the clinical crisis director and executive director.
  • Participate in agency policy development and strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with other agency departments to provide quality holistic care.
  • Work with patients to develop and implement medical treatment plans.
  • Coordinate care with other providers, such as behavioral health specialists and peer support workers.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Help develop and implement employee wellness programs.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO, Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use challenges is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
