Job Title: Assisted Living Director

Location: Mountain Meadows ALH near Walmart

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Compensation: $60-75,000 DOE

Job Summary

The Assisted Living Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations in an assisted living facility, including resident care, staff management, regulatory compliance, and budget management. This leadership role ensures a high standard of care, fosters a positive community culture, and promotes a safe, welcoming environment for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure high-quality care and safety for all residents.
  2. Oversee hiring, training, and management of all facility staff, including caregivers, CNAs, and administrative personnel.
  3. Foster a positive, inclusive culture and ensure staff are supported, motivated, and aligned with the facility’s values and mission.
  4. Ensure that each resident receives high-quality, personalized care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  5. Work with staff and families to create, review, and update resident care plans.
  6. Oversee the implementation of care programs, recreational activities, and wellness initiatives.
  7. Ensure that the facility complies with all state and federal regulations, including health, safety, and licensing requirements.
  8. Oversee audits, inspections, and ensure all necessary documentation is maintained and accessible.
  9. Ensure staff are trained on regulatory standards and facility policies.
  10. Develop and manage the facility’s budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality of care.
  11. Oversee billing, collections, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  12. Identify opportunities for grants, funding, and financial partnerships that can enhance facility services.
  13. Build and maintain relationships with residents' families, providing regular updates and ensuring open communication.
  14. Develop partnerships with local healthcare providers, vendors, and community organizations.
  15. Lead marketing initiatives to promote the facility, manage occupancy levels, and build a positive reputation in the community.
  16. Continuously monitor and assess the quality of care and services, using feedback from residents, families, and staff.
  17. Implement quality improvement programs and adjust operations as needed to ensure high standards are consistently met.
  18. Address and resolve resident or family concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, social work, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare management role. Previous experience in a leadership role within a senior living or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Depending on the state, a license as an Assisted Living Administrator may be required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of assisted living regulations, healthcare management practices, and senior care.
  • Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Ability to problem-solve effectively and respond to crises or emergencies with composure.
  • Compassionate and resident-centered approach with a commitment to enhancing quality of life for seniors.
  • Ability to be on-site for extended periods and interact directly with residents and staff.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • This position requires a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of residents and the facility’s operations.
