Position: Java Developer

Duration: 12 Months Contract with possibility of extension

Note: This is starting 100% Remote. Then it will be hybrid 2 days work on-site per week at Pittsburgh, PA OR Lake Mary, FL office as per the Client policy.

Job Description

Responsible for the design, development, coding, testing, debugging and documentation of applications to satisfy the requirements of one or more user areas. May include hands-on new development as well as support, maintenance or enhancement of existing applications. Works closely with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and makes recommendations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in software development required with WebLogic Portal and Java/J2EE technologies.
• Experienced in 3-tier, n-tier, cloud computing, microservices architectures and SOA.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing microservices using Java/Spring Boot, Node.js.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with API concepts and technologies such as REST, JSON, XML, SOAP, YAML, GraphQL, and Swagger.
• Develop and build microservices leveraging AWS Cloud Services.
• Must have hands-on experience in writing RESTful web services using Spring/JAXRS.
• Experience developing within agile methodology using CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects.
• Must have Spring Portlet development experience.
• Must have good working knowledge of HTML, Ajax, JQuery, JavaScript.
• Good to have experience implementing top-notch user interfaces using JavaScript and the Angular framework.
• Must have experience with Oracle RDBMS. Exposure to PL/SQL is a big plus.
• AWS Cloud development experience and AWS Developer Certification highly desired.
• Experience with WebCenter ADF Framework and Remote portlet configurations with WebCenter Spaces/Portal is a plus.
• Must have working experience with SVN/GIT or with other equivalent source control systems.
• Must have working experience as part of a large team with the ability to work independently.
• Experience configuring Web service security policies is a plus.
• Experience with secure coding practices.
• Good to have exposure to SOA suite middleware.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
