About the Finance Business Partner Position

As the Finance Business Partner, you will support select members of Senior Management and their teams in the development and analysis of financial processes including planning, forecasting, and reporting. In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of annual plans, monthly forecasts, and analysis of financial results, effectively translating and communicating financial information to multiple levels within the organization for Colonial's most project intensive functions. The Financial Business Partner also serves as an Administrator of the financial planning, reporting, and forecasting applications.

What You Get to Do:

  • Provide financial support and subject matter expertise to assigned areas in preparation of annual plans, financial forecasts, and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Gather data and perform analytical review of actual results versus budget, forecast, and prior year at varying levels of the organization and across different information systems.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, providing detailed business explanations behind variances.
  • Collaborate with other Finance and Project Management personnel to identify and implement financial best practices.
  • Provide financial leadership and guidance to facilitate fiscally responsible business decisions and implement cost management strategies that drive efficiencies and manage costs.
  • Develop positive relationships and meet monthly with cost center owners to manage, budget, and forecast overhead costs including workforce planning.
  • Train personnel with varying levels of financial acumen in the use of financial systems, expenditure classifications, forecasting, accruals, and other financial processes.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Technology, Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
  • Ideally, 7+ years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting roles with 5+ years spent directly supporting senior management.
  • Familiarity with Planful, Oracle, and PowerBI preferred as well as with GAAP and capital vs. expense treatment for technology centric projects.
  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.
  • Self-motivated, have phenomenal work ethic and looking for the right company to support your growth.
