Job Title : Associate Director of US IT

Location: Boston, Dallas

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Associate Director for our IT US operations. Within the framework of the Global IT organization objectives, he or she would oversee IT activities and operations of Galderma affiliates for the US region and act as the central point of contact between the business functions of the US and the global IT organization and 3rd Parties. This role is pivotal in leading our IT strategy, ensuring robust IT operations, and driving technological innovation across the US region.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in IT management, and a strategic mindset to align IT initiatives with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and management
  2. Provide input to and lead implementation of IT strategy within the region, to drive priorities and deliver systems and applications development, hardware acquisition and integration requirements in line with overall business strategy, objectives, guidelines, and policies.
  3. Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  4. Develop and implement IT strategies that support the company’s objectives, aligned with the IT global strategy, goals, and standards.
  5. Oversee the recruitment and development of IT staff in the US region.
  6. Act as an active member and IT business partner to the other US leadership team members.
  7. Project and application management
  8. Maintain local project portfolio and foster the rationalization of the application portfolio.
  9. Ensure the successful deployment, support, and maintenance of IT local application portfolio and landscape.
  10. Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects.
  11. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT projects with business needs.
  12. Support the ERP team to align on priorities for the US ERP platform (Oracle) with key US stakeholders in Finance and Supply Chain.
  13. IT Operations
  14. Manage and control vendors and supplier services are delivered as expected (SLAs).
  15. Oversee end-user support and proper escalation to Galderma IT support team or 3rd parties.
  16. Manage efficient implementation and operation of infrastructure in the markets.
  17. Ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure, following the global standards and strategy.
  18. Guarantee the utilization of IT service management in the different levels of the organization.
  19. Communication and reporting
  20. Communicate with local market management on corporate IT projects and assist corporate project teams in the local implementations where applicable.
  21. Prepare performance reports for presentation to upper management.
  22. Advise local market management on all IT-related matters to support sustainable growth of the company through optimal use of IT resources.
  23. Security and compliance
  24. Ensure IT security and compliance with corporate standards, security rules, and IT policies.
  25. Finance
  26. Follow up and control local IT budget trends and actuals, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  27. Assist in and oversee definition of local IT budgets in line with Corporate and markets directives.
  28. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  29. Training and guidance
  30. Guide, train, and manage management and supervisors on IT topics.
  31. Organize and implement training programs for staff in the entire region.
  32. Facilitate sharing and use of IT best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role.
  3. Strong background in the IT field, with significant presence in Life Sciences industry will be a plus.
  4. Very thorough and broad knowledge of and experience in information technology infrastructure, tools, and applications.
  5. Background in ensuring close and effective collaboration with Galderma Global IT and IT suppliers.
  6. Demonstrated project and portfolio management skills.
  7. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Strong relationship management, problem-solving & negotiating skills.
  9. Experience in Region ownership of IT security activities (training, awareness, policies, assessment, etc.).
