IT Finance Specialist
Duration: Initially scheduled to end on 6/30/2024, but this is an open position with potential for temp-to-hire.
Rate: $30 w2 all inc. , Candidate Must be Local (100% Onsite)

Position Summary: The IT Finance Specialist will support the PIT division by evaluating sourcing models, tracking spending, and recommending process improvements. This role involves program analysis, budgeting, funds allocation, accounts management, and reporting. The specialist will also assist in compliance activities, suggest cost corrective actions, and optimize spending programs.
Essential Duties:
  • Program analysis, including planning, budgeting, funds allocation, accounts management, internal controls, and reporting.
  • Data collection and monitoring spending.
  • Managing spend against approved board spend authority and contracts.
  • Providing guidance on budget-related matters.
  • Assisting with budget amendments, analysis, and error resolution.
  • Analyzing budget variances and preparing regular and special reports.
  • Maintaining files and records for documenting activities and complying with requirements.
  • Monitoring vendor and service provider contracts.
  • Processing vendor invoices and verifying payment activity.
  • Preparing variance scorecards and Buy Back invoices.
  • Presenting results through reports, graphs, spreadsheets, and charts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Lookups and Pivot table).
  • Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated organizational and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of finance experience, with a focus on budget analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of IT operations.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
