The Slack Marketing Business Intelligence team helps improve marketing’s performance across both Slack’s product-led-growth (PLG) and Sales-Led, B2B revenue motions. We prioritize self-service and enablement, ensuring marketers have the tools and knowledge to answer their business questions. We deliver Performance Reporting, ensuring accountability through target-setting and forecasting. We deliver Strategic Insights, offering data-driven perspectives to guide Marketing’s strategies.

We are seeking a talented Marketing Data Analytics Manager to contribute to our efforts in transforming complex Marketing data into clear and actionable insights. A successful candidate will be passionate about best-in-class measurement, possess strong technical analytical skills, understand the critical value of enablement, and demonstrate the ability to draw out and distill key requirements from stakeholders while actively listening to all parties.

Responsibilities

  • Support global teams with data and insights to increase product usage and ACV.
  • Partner with field marketing teams and other cross-functional teams to make quarterly business reviews impactful.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to identify business problems and growth opportunities, and use SQL, Python, and Tableau to generate actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the development of Marketing’s measurement strategy and roadmap, identifying the correct key, leading, and diagnostic metrics for profitable growth.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for our data product and resources (Snowflake, Tableau, Google Analytics), identifying opportunities to streamline analytical workflows.
  • Enable and train marketing teams to become confident consumers of dashboards and other components of our data product.
  • Build on and document our data sources, models, metrics, and dashboards in a way that increases our team’s long-term efficiency and output.
  • Define and improve our standards for version control, data testing, and continuous integration, as well as other best practices of high-performing analytics teams.
  • Influence and develop Salesforce’s company-wide product-led-growth (PLG) go-to-market approach, based on expertise and learnings.

Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of experience in an analytics role.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent work ethic and detail orientation.
  • Desire to learn and keep up with analytics industry best practices.
  • Expertise building workflows for turning large datasets into high confidence insights.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Snowflake, software-as-a-service metrics, Salesforce.
  • Experience in a self-service card-to-cash business model.
  • Experience with Marketing, Python, Tableau a plus.
  • Ability to proactively find opportunities for improvements in the business, and prioritize them based on impact and effort.
  • Ability to analyze data to make performance improvements and also communicate those insights in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Strong project/program management skills and ability to quickly learn new tools within the Analytics space.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $132,800 to $182,600. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
