Associate Media Director- New York, NY (hybrid)

We are working to fill an exciting new role at the Associate Media Director level with a rapidly growing NYC agency. Candidate should have agency-side experience inclusive of the financial industry and B2B marketplace knowledge. This role will require deep digital experience with performance channels and will oversee the day-to-day media planning, buying & performance reporting for several of B2B-focused Financial Service clients. A team of 3 -5+ direct reports will be managed, so candidates should also come with previous management experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day stewardship of the client's business
  • Drive development of media plan recommendations that comprise both tactical and high-impact/custom activations to meet clients’ goals
  • Lead and manage reporting analysis, inclusive of key insights/takeaways and optimization recommendations, based on campaign performance
  • Manage and nurture the development of Associate Media Planner(s), Sr. Planner(s)/Planner(s), Manager(s) guiding these individuals through the fundamentals of the planning process (inclusive of developing high-level strategies, partner RFP/evaluation, negotiation, tactical plan development & execution, reporting & insights, optimization, billing, etc.)

Skills required for this position:

  • 6-7 + years of media planning & buying experience at a media agency, inclusive of B2B accounts
  • Knowledge of 360 cross-functional media inclusive of Digital media (including Search, Social, Video, Display), TV/OTT, OOH, and Audio experience
  • Proven ability to develop high-level strategies that include implementation of new, innovative ideas that deliver results according to objectives from awareness to lead gen
  • Ability to analyze Digital activity and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across a variety of tactics including but not limited to the following:
  • Develop of measurement framework as part of the strategy road map
  • Support in the development of performance reporting templates that tie to the measurement framework
  • Provide oversight on campaign performance reports and collaboratively share results across teams to ensure constant program evolution
  • Develop team member frameworks to ensure each is meeting milestones for continued growth
  • Lead and manage client briefing meetings with key stakeholders
  • Provide oversight and consultation to team members in constructing compelling, and strategically grounded, POVs that provide thoughtful insights to help guide and inform planning decisions
  • Contribute and participate in new business efforts
  • Collaboratively participate in Team Leadership Group meetings and work sessions
  • Proven negotiation skills that result in incremental value for investment
  • Experienced with tools including Google Analytics, DCM, MOAT/IAS, Google Data Studio, Prisma
