Your Role Within the Kingdom:

We're seeking a seasoned product leader to oversee major initiatives on the ABM's Studio Technology for Ad Growth and Experiences (STAGE) team. Activision Blizzard Media (ABM) innovates and redefines in-game advertising experiences, fueled by advanced technology and proprietary insights. We empower some of the world’s most beloved games to deliver delightful, personalized ad experiences for players wherever they are and whichever screen they are on.

Responsibilities:

  • Create the vision and execute the strategy to enable tailored ad experiences based on player lifecycle and in-game moments.
  • Deliver innovative solutions that are seamlessly integrated with game mechanics and contents, helping studios improve player LTV while achieving sustainable revenue growth.
  • Forge and strengthen partnerships beyond the core development team (UX, Engineering, Science); promote and lead collaboration efforts with studio partners, internal cross-functional teams, and stakeholders for complex projects that support strategic goals.
  • Set the product vision, define use cases, analyze customer and financial implications, and ultimately choose the most promising path for success.
  • Navigate, manage and adapt with ambiguity; untangle complex problems and uncertainties while maintaining transparent communication and drawing support/feedback from stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts, conduct A/B testing to identify player motivation and satisfaction drivers, and incorporate learnings into product decisions.
  • Lead prioritization across multiple development teams, communicate with senior leadership and stakeholders; champion the product rollout/GTM strategy with Ad Monetization Managers (AMM).
  • Act as an evangelist of the ABM’s player-first, gaming-centric ad platform, proactively engaging with studio counterparts for new product/feature opportunities, defining success metrics, and accelerating adoption with support from Platform Solution and AMM.

The right candidate possesses a strong product management background, has proven ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and lead complex and highly impactful cross-functional projects from concept to completion; experienced in the gaming or entertainment industry.

You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

As a Product Manager, you are user/player-centric, understanding their needs and requirements, plus anticipating future trends that will serve their needs. You are impact-focused, excel at execution; able to coordinate complex multi-functional projects, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, balancing the business needs versus technical constraints.

Be communicative and an agent for constructive change within STAGE and the broader Product organization.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science or related field or equivalent experience in the technology sector.
  • 8+ years of direct product management experience in gaming, social media or other B2B2C business; relevant product areas include but are not limited to Game Monetization, In-game Services, Personalization, Recommendation Systems for eCommerce, streaming services or OTA, yield management (publisher focus), Predictive Modeling, LTV Models & Churn Prediction.
  • Experience owning/driving product strategy and roadmap execution for scaled product/product group.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and internal/external customers.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving product outcomes through user testing and data-driven decision-making.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong technical, communication, and analytical skills; ability to communicate with and challenge both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Expert with project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement.

Extra Points:

  • Experience working directly with Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists for ML/AI-empowered products.
  • Experience/Familiarity with mobile development and API design.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams.
  • Experience or familiarity with in-game advertising.
  • Experience mentoring Associate PM/Junior PM.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $143,060.00 - $264,846.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
