We are seeking a talented and driven Founding Python Developer to join our early-stage startup in San Francisco. As one of the first hires, you will work closely with the founding team to design, develop, and scale our product from the ground up. This role offers the opportunity to shape the company’s technical direction and utilize custom AI solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the founders to define the product roadmap and technical strategy.
• Lead the development, system design, deployment and support.
• Write scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code across the stack.
• Implement new features and optimize existing ones to ensure a smooth user experience.
• Ensure best practices in software development, including testing, code reviews, and documentation.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a strong backend engineering role.
• Proficiency in modern web technologies (either Python, Golang, Java, Kotlin etc.).
• Experience building products from scratch.
• Have an eye for AI and clear passion for building at the forefront to applied AI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for startup environments / hyper growth businesses.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting with limited resources.
