**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 90 days of Start Date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Within 6 Months of Start Date
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) | RQI Partners | Within 6 Months of Start Date
**Must-Have:**
- New graduates must obtain registration from the National Board for Respiratory Care within 12 months of the start date (RRT).
**Job Description:**
- Perform and document evaluations and patient assessments.
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and appropriate education.
- Identify significant changes in patient's condition and document appropriately.
- Provide appropriate patient education, family teaching and support correlating to patient and family needs.
- Communicate pertinent information to appropriate caregivers.
- Perform pain assessments and take appropriate actions according to standard operating procedures.
- Complete all documentation, including order entry, verification, electronic medical record (EMR), medication charting, patient safety/incident variance reports, and equipment repair tags according to standard operating procedures.
- Process patient charges and verify reports as needed.
- Disassemble, clean, assemble respiratory equipment, and perform preventative maintenance according to standard operating procedures.
- Properly tag equipment in need of maintenance, safety checks, or repair and notify appropriate department for delivery.
- Responsible for the transport of infants to/from referral health systems.
- Provide high-quality critical care in accordance with patient care guidelines established by the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed to meet the department/organization's needs.
