This position is responsible for implementing and supporting network infrastructure systems primarily focused on the Cisco platform, along with related Data Center technologies, in order to support the requirements of the NielsenIQ business processes, applications, and systems. The networking team members are accountable for full life cycle mgmt. of our global Data Centers, worldwide office locations networking infrastructure, and support for our global WAN. The team is also accountable for establishing best practices for infrastructure operations and maintaining a stable environment.

Job Description

What you will do

  • Implements, maintains, optimizes, and supports network infrastructure technologies, including Cisco Wireless Technologies and Centralized Controllers with Cisco DNA, Cisco NEXUS 9K, 7K, and 5K Data Center Switches, Cisco 9000 Series Catalyst Switches, Cisco ASR 1000 series and ISR 4300 series Routers. F5 Big IP and various load balancers, WAN network technologies such as VPN, MPLS, PPP, Internet Services, and Cloud Interconnects are required.
  • Develop and plan wireless network and design enhancements for same.
  • Maintain knowledge of new wireless network products.
  • Perform wireless audits and ensure viability with network and recommend solutions for incompatibility.
  • Operate and maintain advanced Cisco tool and application aware technologies, such as Tetration and StealthWatch
  • Operate and maintain advanced Data Center features such as ACI, Identity Services (ISE), and Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA)
  • Platform monitoring & management services such as ManageEngine, LogicMonitor, InfoBlox IPAM, and other platform management tools
  • Installs and configures infrastructure management systems and related software while coordinating closely with hardware, network, and operating system administrators. Ensures all software is kept up to date and fully supported by the manufacturer
  • Develop and maintains capacity management reports and trend analysis
  • Practice and provide oversight of network asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Perform production support of network infrastructures according to service-level agreements. Understands crisis management and escalation procedures and participates when relevant.
  • Execute and oversee network improvements, upgrades and repairs.
  • Participate in on call rotation. Schedule and times are dependent on region. On call rotation schedule is dependent on corporate needs.
  • Monitor ticket queues, troubleshooting and resolve assigned tickets. Verify with customer that issues are resolved to satisfaction
  • Manages required infrastructure documentation including infrastructure system dependencies, network and components, backup and maintenance plans, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience More than 5 years’ experience. Industry Certification or equivalent knowledge on Cisco Systems .
  • Proficient knowledge of operating system administrative concepts.
  • Proficient in crisis management and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in production support processes and problem resolution according to service-level agreements.
  • Experience with software development artifacts such as logical data models, data flow diagrams, and application query use cases for the purpose of developing physical infrastructure designs.
