Help Desk Technician

Base Pay Rate: $19.23 per hour
Community Counseling Center (CCC) is looking to hire a Help Desk Technician to help serve the 450+ users at our agency. Our Help Desk Technician would be working with a fellow technician, and will be supervised by the Help Desk Manager. A candidate for this position must be experienced in IT troubleshooting and have a knack for helping other with their IT needs.
As a Help Desk Technician, you will be the first point of contact for resolving a wide range of issues, including hardware and software problems, installations and upgrades, and inventory management. You will also manage and track these tasks using our ticketing system, JitBit, ensuring efficient and organized issue resolution.
CCC has over 30 locations spread across five counties in Southeast Missouri; while typically you would work out of the Cape office, there will be the potential for travel (agency IT specific vehicle is available) as needed to these various sites.
Job Summary
The Helpdesk Technician is responsible for assisting users with both hardware and software related issues in a timely, professional fashion; administrate and maintain knowledge of any staff applications.
Essential Functions

  1. Respond to and resolve staff related hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
  2. Administrate staff applications including but not limited to: helpdesk software, office productivity suites, anti-virus software, etc.
  3. Perform hardware and software installations and upgrades on workstations as needed.
  4. Create and maintain documentation and training materials to assist users in operation of staff software and/or hardware.
  5. Document problems, resolutions, projects, and other relevant information using departmentally approved tools and methods.
  6. Maintain knowledge of other pieces of software, such as Microsoft Office products, needed to effectively perform job functions.
  7. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of workstations as well as other common needs such as network cables, surge protectors, keyboards, etc.
Non Essential Functions
  1. Maintain compliance with all policy and procedures.
  2. Complete all required training.
  3. Work cooperatively with other departments and members of the community.
  4. Participate in all required meetings as determined by supervisor.
  5. Train users on the use of company hardware and software as needed.
  6. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelors of Science degree in an I.T. related field; or, an Associates Degree in an I.T. Related field and two years of experience; or, four years of related equivalent experience.
  • Valid Driver's License for current State of residence and must meet agency MVR Standards with proof of continuous auto insurance.

Visual Activities
• The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
