Job Summary:


The Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing all sales and group activities within the two amusement parks for Broadway Grand Prix and Myrtle Waves, focusing on consignments, group bookings, and special events. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests and teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with various department managers and teams to create tailored experiences for groups, including corporate events, school trips, charitable events and private parties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Consignment Management:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations for consignment opportunities.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements on contracts to maximize revenue that will enhance community partnerships and ticket sales.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive group sales strategy to achieve revenue targets while generating new business and partnerships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the group/ticket sales market, including corporate partnerships, schools, and other business organizations
  • Analyze market trends, create and update social media platforms, consistently review customer feedback to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Manage the group sales budget, forecasting sales group events, and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Ensure that all group events are executed flawlessly, coordinating with operations and guest services teams.

Group Parties, Scheduling Team and Charitable Events:

  • Oversee the planning and execution of group bookings, including birthday parties, corporate and team events, and special occasions.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Plan and organize team-building events and charitable events to foster a positive work culture and enhance team morale.
  • Oversee and manage all donations and certificates for charitable events. Ensuring efficient distribution, allocation and compliance with the organization’s policies.
  • Encourage team participation and engagement in sales initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the group sales team to achieve individual and team performance goals

Reporting and Analytics:

Prepare and present sales and group event reports to executive leadership, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement. Develop actionable items for success.

Utilize data analytics to inform decision-making and optimize sales strategies.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales management from 3 to 5 years, preferably in the entertainment or hospitality industry.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Google drive and Microsoft Office.
