CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Distribution Planner IV to join our Power & Manufacturing – Electric Distribution Team at our office in Boston, MA or Norwell, MA.
YOUR IMPACT
CHA’s distribution design engineers have the deep experience and skillset to plan, design, and permit sustainable electric distribution infrastructure and all types of utility distribution systems. To realize the dependable, cost-effective interconnection of overhead and underground assets, we visualize, analyze and optimize how the system functions with itself and outside systems, and improve energy delivery and grid resilience.
The Distribution Planner IV is responsible for implementing and analyzing complex systems for the organization, as well as client(s), working primarily independently but coordinating with the senior Distribution Planners to be sure project goals are consistent and understood. This key role provides senior-level analysis and support while ensuring all system issues are identified, appropriately documented, and resolved within the appropriate timeframes.
The Distribution Planner IV provides QA/QC review of the project team's work including design work and field work. The professional in this role must understand and be able to implement a project from beginning to end with guidance and input working closely with more senior Distribution Planners including using resources from other groups.

REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a combination of equivalent certification and work experience
- Minimum of 8 years experience is required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel required
- Proficient with computer systems, such as GIS and Work Management Systems
- Willingness to learn client’s systems and applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong ability to work in both a team environment and independently
- Valid driver’s license required
SALARY RANGE
$70,000 - $86,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
