Position Overview

As an AV Programmer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing custom AV control systems for high-profile clients. You will work closely with the engineering team, project managers, and clients to ensure that all systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and program AV control systems using Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar platforms.
  2. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to define project requirements and timelines.
  3. Integrate AV systems with other technology platforms such as lighting, HVAC, and security systems.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve programming-related issues during installation and post-installation phases.
  5. Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and programming languages.

Required Skills and Experience

  1. 3+ years of experience in AV programming, preferably in a commercial environment.
  2. Proficiency in Crestron, AMX, Extron, or similar AV control systems.
  3. Strong understanding of AV systems integration, including video conferencing, digital signage, and networked AV.
  4. Experience with scripting languages such as Lua, Python, or similar is a plus.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  7. Relevant certifications (e.g., Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX ACE) are highly desirable.
