We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead our design department and ensure seamless progress of projects within our team of 35 talented professionals.
Role Overview :
As the Design Manager , you will be responsible for overseeing 4 Design Supervisors who lead teams of designers. You will manage the flow of projects within the department, ensuring successful execution in terms of Quality, Delivery, and Cost. You will play a critical role in removing obstacles, developing talent, and driving results through cross-functional communication.
The candidate must be based in or close to Eau Claire or willing to relocate, as this position requires on-site presence. Travel requirements are minimal but may arise occasionally.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of 35, including 4 direct reports (Design Supervisors)
- Oversee and ensure timely progress of projects across the design team
- Anticipate potential roadblocks and devise solutions to ensure smooth project execution
- Develop and implement tools for effective progress tracking and visual management
- Foster relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Drive results that meet company quality, delivery, and cost objectives
- Assess team performance and identify opportunities for talent development
- Establish a successor within the team for future leadership development
