The Los Angeles County Office of Education seeks candidates with strong problem solving skills and a desire to support at-promise youths to apply for the School-to-Career Transition Specialist position.
The School-to-Career Transition Specialist provides individualized guidance and assistance related to school-to-career transition planning for at-promise youth who may have learning, emotional, and behavioral disabilities, and works collaboratively with school site personnel and the individualized plan team in planning and coordinating the delivery of school-to-career services.

Required Education and Experience Education: A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social services, or other fields closely related to the job requirements of this classification from an institution of higher learning recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Foreign degrees and credit units require translation and equivalency established by an agency recognized by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing
Experience: Two years' experience working with at-promise students in the school-to-career field, including experience in making oral presentations, facilitating group discussions, and conducting vocational assessments.
Additional Requirements: Positions in this class may be required to work outside of regular working hours and assigned to various school sites throughout Los Angeles County. A valid California driver's license and availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites is required.
