Professional (+) (Fixed Term)Position Details:The Opportunity:The William D. Ruckelshaus Center invites you to join us as a Project Specialist at Washington State University (WSU). As the Project Specialist, you will use independent judgement to provide support to one or more of the Center's ongoing projects. Your duties include, but are not limited to, providing coordination for one or more collaborative policy projects, including initial project design and development and execution of planning for ongoing projects; planning and managing (including administration, logistics and occasionally leading) workshops and work groups; and regularly exercise independent judgement and discretion in project work that is often highly political and of statewide significance. You will also develop and conduct project research, data gathering, analysis and writing; study, analyze, prepare, write and edit materials, meeting agendas, action items and meeting summaries; and study, analyze, prepare, write and edit materials and correspondence that are highly sensitive, confidential and complex in nature. We encourage you to apply!Required Qualifications:• A Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.• Intermediate or advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS and PowerPoint), Zoom, Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat and browsing applications.• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and communication skills.• Demonstrated experience providing highly organized logistical support.• Must be able to occasionally work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.• Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with and departmental driving standards.Preferred Qualifications:• Familiarity with conflict resolution/collaborative governance.• Working knowledge of public policy processes.Additional Information:Area/College: 01, Provost's OfficeDepartment Name: William D.
