Washington Trust Wealth Management has an opportunity for an experienced Trust Officer to join its team of dedicated wealth management professionals. The Trust Officer works with clients to provide expert trust administration, tax, trust, and estate guidance for a variety of fiduciary accounts.

In this capacity, the Trust Officer provides document analysis, problem identification and resolution, and excellent, proactive, empathetic communication. They work closely with grantors, beneficiaries, co-fiduciaries, and service providers to provide superior communication, assistance, and service. As part of a dedicated team, this position will ensure that all aspects of the requirements necessary to properly administer fiduciary accounts are properly followed in accordance with the applicable legal documents, state and federal laws, and policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fiduciary trust management.
- The ability to adapt to change, multi-task, and adopt and adhere to best practices is essential.
- Strong PC skills; proficient skills in Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated competence relative to the technical application of trust and estate administration skills and fiduciary knowledge.
- Experience with Estate Settlement and Administration is helpful; experience with special needs trusts is a significant preference.
- Superior proactive and empathetic communication skills to be successful in client contact/relationship building, as well as contact with corollary professionals such as attorneys and accountants.
