Black Desert Resort is a $2 billion golf resort in Ivins, Utah, consisting of 150 hotel rooms, over 1,000 condo units, nearly 100 real estate lots, a championship-level golf course that will host a PGA/LPGA tour event starting in October 2024, a water park, five restaurants, and more! Our current membership numbers sit at approximately 350 across all levels of club membership and that number will continue to grow.

Job Overview
The Club Director at Black Desert Resort is a dynamic and experienced hospitality leader responsible for overseeing Black Desert's club members/owner operations, including sales. This person will also be a community builder and ambassador for the resort and it's owner-members with a focus on relationships, experience and overall satisfaction. This role requires a blend of owner and guest services, sales, and business acumen to ensure the resort and club provides an exceptional experience for owners and guests. The Club Membership Director will work closely with the executive team to implement strategic initiatives, enhance member satisfaction, and drive revenue growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of Black Desert Resort club operations including membership, facilities, owner relations, dining, recreational activities, events etc.
- Responsible for all aspects of memberships, from following up on leads to onboarding new owners, members, and guests
- Oversee membership recruitment and retention strategies, including assisting in the selling of memberships to new and prospective club members
- Work to provide state of the art experience for members, while continuously focusing on overall satisfaction of members and guests
- Ensure all facilities and services meet high standards of quality and service
- Coordinate with other resort departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members and guests, addressing concerns and feedback promptly.
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and cost control measures.
- Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of staff including club personnel, hospitality staff, golf professionals, and others
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring high levels of employee satisfaction and performance
- Develop and implement programs and events to enhance member engagement and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the club's strategic plan and business objectives.
- Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and legal regulations.
- Maintain high standards of service and operational excellence in line with industry best practices.
- Represent the club in community and industry events, enhancing the resort's public image and reputation.
- Cultivate relationships with local businesses, media, and community organizations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a director-level role within a high-end resort setting or similar hospitality setting.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven experience in managing operations, leading teams, and driving business performance.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management and financial reporting.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Weekends and Holidays expected.
