We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction projects and ensuring that all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.


Pay Rate: $45-50

Per diem: $140

Location: Sites will be across Texas and Louisiana

Years of Experience: 8-10 years


Job Summary:

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in commercial, residential, and industrial settings. You will work under the guidance of a Master Electrician, following blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure the electrical work is safe, efficient, and up to code.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, and electrical panels.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Testing & Inspection: Conduct electrical tests and inspections to ensure proper installation, functionality, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations (such as OSHA and NEC).
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to complete projects on time and within scope.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to address concerns, explain electrical issues, and provide solutions.
  • Ongoing Education: Stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technology, and changes in electrical codes and safety regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience as a journeyman electrician.
  • License: Valid Journeyman Electrician license for the state in which the work is performed.
  • Education: Completion of a certified apprenticeship program.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components, as well as familiarity with local and national electrical codes.
