Sr. PowerBI Developer
Summary
Our Fortune 200 client located in Downtown Houston is looking for a PowerBI Developer to join a very large initiative about to take off. This team is focused on enterprise reporting for the organization. Reporting needs to be able to survive as changes are made. In addition to the data and analysis collected and presented to the supported business, the expectation is for this individual to create dashboards and scorecards to identify drivers and create strategic recommendations, presenting these to key SLT partners.
Technical Requirements
- Advanced Analytics skillset.
- Advanced Data Visualization Skills
- Experience with Dax Studio or Tabular Editor
- Proficient in PowerBI and Power Apps
- Report optimization
- Experience with report tuning using Dax Measures
- SQL
- Thorough ability to document data and ongoing projects
Core Responsibilities
· Ensures all projects and data developed is value-adding and provides actionable insights.
· Building new data tables, and making adjustments to existing tables.
· Ability to find a way to be able to look at data to see how it will change reporting.
· Ability to understand a business problem and work through various legacy systems.
· Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with internal business members
· Ensure appropriate level of statistical significance in insights, help educate and hold stakeholders and team accountable in their design and interpretation of analyses.
· Analyzes requests to ensure that they are value-adding and prioritized appropriately
· Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
· Demonstrate a commitment to the quality of data sets and reporting created by the team, ensuring they are repeatable and sustainable.
· Monitors the value proposition of the reporting/analysis during the production process, and actively communicates analysis with stakeholders
· Proactively identify, prioritize, and conduct analysis that drives meaningful change on KPIs and critical objectives established by the stakeholder.
· Ensures all requests are logged for data, reporting, and analysis.
· Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
· Present to senior leadership, working with this team as a partner and providing actionable insights and recommendations.
· Interfaces with data architecture team and troubleshoots complex data issues.
· Working and joining together large, disparate data sets to uncover actionable insights.
· Be a hands-on analytical business partner who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to solve complex business questions through data

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
Field of Study: Information Sciences, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics
Years' Experience: Generally, requires 4 - 7 years related experience.
