What you'll do:

The LFI Readiness Senior Analyst will be responsible for assisting the LFI Readiness Senior Director with executing the Bank's LFI Readiness Program to ensure compliance with Regulation YY Category 4 and related regulations. This individual will be a key part of the development of the LFI Readiness Program framework, governance, and oversight to monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of the program itself as well as each project being completed within the LFI Program. This role reports to the Senior Director and is responsible for the initial preparation of presentations to appropriate management committees, the Board of Directors, and external audit, where applicable, including any issues identified, the plan for escalation and resolution. This individual may attend critical meetings without the Senior Director, therefore needs to make initial decisions and be able to communicate results as well as answer stakeholders' questions ad-hoc.

What we are looking for:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including IT, FP&A, Data Governance, and Risk to ensure LFI Program Office (LFIPO) has all critical information from areas to make necessary decisions.
  • Challenge and adapt inventory of key workstreams with assistance from the Project Manager - Senior Director to ensure identified items are captured and tie back to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with FRB Regulation YY and related Enhanced Prudential Standards (EPS).
  • Track and analyze regulatory updates and assist in implementing necessary program changes as needed.
  • Perform reviews of risk management frameworks with Senior Director and third-party partners to ensure alignment with EPS tiered requirements.
  • Responsible for the initial development and ongoing updating of policies and procedures to meet regulatory standards including required publishing per Bank standards.
  • Ensure implementation of LFIPO and related policies across business units and monitor adherence.
  • Work closely with internal audit, compliance, strategic partner, and legal teams to align with regulatory requirements related to LFIPO and the Bank.
  • Provide support in coordinating communications with external regulators, including data collection for reporting in conjunction with Regulatory Relations prior to review by Senior Director.
  • Assist Senior Director in organizing and preparing for regulatory audits and examinations including readiness reviews and verbal discussions.
  • Facilitate coordination of cross-functional teams to ensure compliance initiatives are implemented smoothly and on time. Assist with tracking and monitoring project deliverables related to the program and reporting progress.
  • Coordinate and maintain documentation related to compliance activities, risk assessments, and test results.
  • Help develop and distribute training materials related to Regulation YY compliance. Support the delivery of training sessions to staff across various departments to raise awareness. Monitor training completion and ensure adherence to compliance learning objectives.
  • Support internal audits by providing documentation and ensuring compliance records are up to date.
  • Monitor logs of identified issues during work by Senior Analyst and third parties related to EPS compliance and track their resolution with reporting to Senior Director. Assist in developing action plans to address gaps in compliance and monitor remediation efforts to be approved by Senior Director.
  • The responsibilities listed are supportive of the Senior Director and may encompass additional activities as LFIPO matures.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or another related field required. Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with increasing responsibility in regulatory compliance or other areas at a bank, relevant internal audit experience, capital, and liquidity and/or public accounting advisory experience required.
  • Working knowledge of Regulation YY and other related regulations or strong willingness to spend significant effort learning.
  • Ability to maintain relationships across various levels of the organization, influence others beyond the direct team, and collaborate with various stakeholders including executive leadership to drive and implement change.
  • Must be highly effective at project management and oversight of team project management as well as communicating issues through emails, written reports/formal memos, verbal discussions, and ad-hoc conversations/questions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills as well as communication and people skills are required.
  • Extremely meticulous and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with other applications is a plus.
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 20%.
