Expedia Private Label Solutions (PLS) team is responsible for managing some of Expedia Group’s largest B2B demand partner relationships. PLS is an entrepreneurial, B2B-focused business that delivers Expedia inventory through APIs, private label and co-branded travel solutions to a broad range of partners. PLS is looking for a strong Principal Product Manager in Chicago or Seattle. The role is a product leader on the product team, helping to manage one of Expedia’s largest Financial Institution partnerships. This person will be responsible for driving forward new product solutions to improve and streamline hotel programs both for Expedia and our partner. This person will investigate opportunities both in the Expedia ecosystem as well as partner owned tools to create new efficiencies and a better partner experience.
Working with the Expedia and the partner product, tech and partnerships teams, they will help set the strategic direction on how to manage and grow the Partner’s hotel program. The role is part of a tightly knit cross-functional team, with the opportunity to lead initiatives and develop skills across the product, tech, account, support and operation spaces.
This role reports to a Senior Director on the Product team based in London. There will be opportunities to travel to New York, Chicago, Seattle and/or London during the year for partner and team meetings.
What you'll do:
- You will develop close relationships with our partners to understand their needs and create new opportunities that align with their goals and Expedia’s.
- You will work on a portfolio of supply and demand connectivity products, in close collaboration with the Partner’s product and tech teams.
- You will work with peers in the cross-functional teams to deep-dive into existing products and processes, own product discoveries and solutioning to transform ideas into reality.
- You will work together with your engineering teams to create the right technical solutions to meet Partner’s needs.
- You will build great relationships with internal Expedia teams to ensure the Partner’s needs and priorities are understood, prioritized and supported in the wider Expedia ecosystem.
- You will work with our analytics team, as well as the Partner’s own team, to track the performance of your products against targets to evaluate their success.
- You will care about your products, advocate for them, believe passionately in them.
- You will work with your Account Management counterparts in setting strategic goals and prioritizing work to ensure we are exceeding partner expectations and business performance goals.
Who you are:
- You will have 7+ years in the travel industry, preferably in a B2B role.
- You have a solid understanding of hotel supply and demand connectivity products and partner needs.
- You are a creative-thinker, willing to ideate beyond the status quo.
- You have strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
- You enjoy building professional relationships with partners and are confident interacting with a variety of leaders.
- You are excited by the accountability that comes with leading the product solutions enabling one of Expedia’s most profitable partners.
- You have outstanding influencing skills, including experience working within a large matrix organization.
- You speak knowledgeably with engineers about a problem space, can communicate user stories and know how to build products incrementally.
- You can identify the best business opportunities, make prioritization calls, and devise a clear strategy.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $221,000 to $309,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $353,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $202,500.00 to $283,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $324,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
