Sr. Accountant - Property Accounting

Description
The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the oversight of the monthly general ledger accounting activities at the property-level. By performing balance sheet reconciliations and preparing monthly financial reporting packages, the Senior Property Accountant is responsible for collaborating with community and regional team members and ensuring financial accuracy, timeliness, and completeness across all levels.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Compiling and analyzing financial information for month-end and year-end close including supporting schedules and work papers
• Preparing journal entries and ensuring the general ledger activity is accurate and complete: revenue and cash receipts reconciliation, accruals and prepaids
• Performing cash management, including cash application and reconciliations
• Collaborating with community and regional team members to ensure timely and accurate pre-close activities are completed
• Proactively following-up with clients regarding property profitability and addressing client inquiries in a timely manner
• Reviewing and approving invoices in accounts payable workflow
• Performing other ad-hoc related duties or projects as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of property management accounting experience within multifamily or senior
• Experience with property management software; experience with Yardi Voyager preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP & accrual accounting
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work fast in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Salary Description
80 -85k plus 10% target bonus
