Reporting to the VP of Sales with dotted line responsibility to the site leader, this role leads sales and marketing efforts primarily for our coating operations (TEC) and secondarily supporting sales efforts of our engine component repair operations (TET) as needed, in Tempe Arizona. The Director of Sales will work alongside our Program, Engineering, and Operations teams to develop long term programs within our existing customer base while delivering and owning a business development pipeline that will expand our penetration into international markets. This role is expected to create sales reports, quote new and existing business with estimated profit margins, implement business initiatives, have excellent communication skills, and create and maintain relationships with new and existing customers. The successful candidate will provide the right leader an opportunity to build and deliver new customer wins that deliver our collective goal of 50% growth in the next 24 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the long and short-term business development pipeline from deal identification to capture.
  • Develop sales/marketing strategies that promote coating competencies and component repair opportunities.
  • Interface and coordinate with regional sales leaders to extend customer base globally.
  • Identify and maintain relationships between and inside customer influencers to create strategic advantage.
  • Conduct market forecasts to identify changes in legacy customer demand and new opportunities for growth.
  • Lead proposal pricing strategies and negotiations for new deals and/or campaigns.
  • Assist in developing work procedures for Sales and Customer Service functions.

This is an on-site, in person position, not work from home. Local candidates only as there is no relocation for this position.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales.
  • Experience in contract administration, negotiations, and pricing in an aerospace related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with customers in foreign markets.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • College degree in business, marketing, and/or engineering.
  • Experience in component repair in the propulsion and industrial gas turbine engine aftermarket space.
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble and close complex deals or to find a path through complex customer relationships.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously with rapid changes in priorities, and/or urgent or adverse situations.
  • Ability to travel frequently, including internationally.
  • Demonstrated broad influencing skills both inside and outside of the organization.
