Profile: A law firm is seeking a Lateral Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in employment matters related to corporate transactions to join its Employment, Executive Compensation & Benefits practice group in Boston. This position offers the opportunity to work with private equity clients and strategic investors on various employment issues.

Location:

Duties:

1. Handle employment aspects of transactions involving private equity and strategic investors.
2. Draft and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
3. Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with applicable state laws.
4. Advise clients on structuring transactions and market practices regarding employment issues.
5. Participate in due diligence calls and negotiate transaction documents.
6. Analyze legal and factual backgrounds of disputes and litigation matters.
7. Assist in developing case strategy and preparing court and agency filings.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment aspects of private equity or M&A transactions.
2. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements.
3. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.

Education:

1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

1. Admission to practice in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
