What You'll do:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Tester to support the development of web-based applications.

  1. Plan, execute, and report on software development and maintenance testing.
  2. Review and provide recommendations regarding test documentation.
  3. Develop test plans and procedures in support of system evaluation based upon specifications and technical data articulated in requirements documents.
  4. Develop and implement data collection plans based on data collection requirements, to include training for operators and data collectors.
  5. Conduct required reviews of all data collection forms and operational logs collected during test.
  6. Review Test Incident Reports for accuracy and completeness.
  7. Support analysis of documented user requirements and assist in the design of test plans in support of user requirements.
  8. Work and collaborate with testing working groups for test related issues and topics.
  9. Provide timely communication regarding upgrades and downtimes (planned & unplanned), system changes, or common issues.
  10. Understand how to properly report bugs and properly escalate issues as needed.
  11. Perform technical reviews; ensure adherence to quality processes.

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in information technology or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  2. Must be able to obtain and maintain required federal government security clearance.
  3. At least 5 years of software testing experience.
  4. Experience interpreting requirements, writing quality control documentation (e.g. Test Reports), and writing user acceptance test plans (including Acceptance Criteria).
  5. Knowledge of Test Management, Automation toolsets and processes.
  6. Proficiency with test automation and test management tools.
  7. Great organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and communicate and work productively as part of fully remote and/or hybrid teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Working knowledge of the software development life cycle in general and Agile specifically.
  2. Experience with low-code platforms (Appian, Outsystems, Pega, Salesforce, etc.).
  3. Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  4. Appian Analyst Certification.
  5. Public Trust Clearance or higher.

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate is $160,000 - $185,000.
