Reliability Inspector
The Amalgamated Sugar Company – Boise, Idaho
The Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Reliability Inspector to be based out of either the corporate office in Boise, ID. Substantial travel within the Company’s factories will be required and total travel is expected to be more than 40%. Our factories are in Nampa, Twin Falls, and Paul, ID. Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Director, the Reliability Inspector will be responsible for support and management of the overall company mechanical inspection program for fixed production equipment in operation at the company’s four manufacturing facilities. Other roles include assessment of the mechanical integrity and safety of the facilities equipment and helping to improve mechanical reliability performance to world class standards.

Additional Responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of the mechanical integrity program for fixed equipment
Directly responsible to ensure that inspection strategy is in place and executed to meet mechanical integrity program
Establish, promote, and maintain lines of communication, cooperation, and coordination, between other departments of the Company.
Ensure systems and processes in place for effective, efficient fixed equipment management
Serve as the staff liaison factory NDE technicians
Put systems and processes in place ensuring compliance with Amalgamated Sugar’s Mechanical Integrity standards
Manage and recommend asset care including, inspection, repair & capital investment for process equipment
Recommend capital and operating budgets for equipment reliability
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Pressure equipment and tank inspection.
Corrosion monitoring of vessels and pressure piping systems
Utilize Risk Based Inspection (RBI) techniques to plan and manage inspection program.
Nondestructive testing, including Liquid Penetration Inspection (LPI), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
Inter-campaign condition monitoring planning and coordinating
Inspection contractor coordination and management
Leading and/or participating in incident investigations
Technical report writing
Manage equipment inspection data base
Qualifications:
High school degree or equivalent
Preferred Certifications: API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI, NBIC
Minimum of 10 years' previous inspection and/or mechanical integrity experience in an industrial manufacturing plant or refinery
