The Director of Brand Marketing works with the rest of the Brand Marketing team (and cross functionally across all of Vox Media) to develop, tell, and sell stories about Vox Media's portfolio of editorial brands to advertisers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
The role of the Director, Brand Marketingis to partner with the General Managers and Network Developers for Vox Media brands to develop and market editorially driven packages. A key-member of internal cross-teamwork and external client meetings, the Director of Brand Marketing focuses on creating stories about Vox Media brands that win the interest and confidence of advertisers. This individual develops revenue-generating programs based on editorial insight, marketplace knowledge, and strong command of audience and advertiser data.
The position manages one direct report, is aligned to a portion of the Vox Media brands, including SB Nation, Vox Media's sports title, and reports directly to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing. Both leadership and collaboration are at the core of this role as this individual will work closely with editorial network development, creative strategy, sales leadership, integrated marketing, media, audio, and insights.
This individual should be both strategic and creative, be adept at visual storytelling, intellectually curious, a digital native, a team player, a creative writer, interested in sports or experienced in sports marketing, and a passionate fan of our brands.
WHO YOU ARE
- Own the strategic and creative development, marketing, and packaging for big editorially driven ideas
- Multi Vox Media Brand Specific Focus
- Collaborate with internal teams to build right-size packages
- Contributes to client and agency call meetings
- Flexible, confident, collaborative leader of small-but-mighty team
- 8+ years of relevant experience, sports marketing experience a bonus
- A presentation wizard. Strong Google Slides and Photoshop skills a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a meticulous eye for detail
- Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as design aesthetic
- Big thinking is anchored in cultural and marketplace insights

PAY TRANSPARENCY
The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
