A law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking a Mid-Level Fund/Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in secured and unsecured lending transactions, specializing in fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and other complex domestic and cross-border syndicated and bi-lateral financings. The ideal candidate should possess strong law school academic credentials and relevant, sophisticated law firm and transaction experience in fund finance and leverage finance/private credit.
Duties:
- Provide legal advice and support in fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and other complex lending transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including loan agreements, security agreements, and ancillary documentation.
- Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and provide recommendations on complex legal issues related to lending transactions.
- Collaborate with clients, partners, and other team members to develop and implement legal strategies.
- Manage and oversee due diligence processes, including the review of financial statements and legal documentation.
- Assist in the structuring and execution of financing transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements:
- 3-6 years of legal experience in secured and unsecured lending transactions.
- Strong experience in fund finance and leverage finance/private credit.
- Admission to the Illinois Bar (or eligibility for admission by motion).
- Excellent communication and legal drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Education:
