THE FOCUS IS YOU
We are looking to hire an FP&A Consultant to join our growing team. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of all levels of financial planning. As an FP&A Consultant you will join our team as a project consultant, working closely with our clients to develop and implement solutions to their problems. You will have the opportunity to scale your skills up and down to best fit the clients needs and enable them to reach their goals.

Working for UHY in our Resource Solutions team provides an opportunity for experienced public and industry accountants to utilize their training and skills on a variety of challenging engagements such as financial reporting, interim accounting support, post-merger integration, functional software implementation, internal audit, and SEC reporting. You will work to further client needs and desires while advising on the best course of action.
General Responsibilities
- Ability to commit to the entire engagement even if the engagement extends
- Develop and implement financial planning and analysis strategies to support the organization's overall financial goals and objectives.
- Provide expert financial insights and recommendations to senior management, guiding decision-making processes through accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Lead and manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and collaborating with key stakeholders across departments.
- Drive the development and delivery of insightful financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for executive management, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
- Identify and assess key financial risks and opportunities, conducting thorough analysis to support proactive decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate and monitor financial performance against budgeted targets, identifying areas of improvement and making recommendations for operational and strategic adjustments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial performance, providing guidance and support in cost analysis, revenue forecasting, and expense management.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and deliver innovative financial solutions.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of financial analysts, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering strategic insights and financial expertise to drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSITION
Experience
- 10+ years of finance and FP&A experience, particularly with growing mid-sized companies
- Experience supervising and managing teams while being hands-on in day-to-day FP&A functions
- Strong end user of SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or other common technologies
- Expert Excel skills: VLOOKUP, Macros, Etc.
- Experience working in a Big 4 firm preferred
- Education
- Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance
