OVERVIEW:
The Tax Manager role will report to the Head of Global Tax and the VP Finance, NA and will report to the Stamford, CT office. This role will be responsible for North American entities: Beiersdorf US, Beiersdorf CAN, La Prairie and Chantacaille.
We are looking for an individual who can also bring a unique blend of competence and capabilities that can grow into a role and/or bring new skills to the team. Key deliverables of the role will include but are not limited to the following:
Tax Reporting (IFRS)
  • Execute Tax Reporting for US tax group (incl. Chantecaille and La Prairie)
  • Support Tax Reporting in Canada
  • Align with internal stakeholders on tax reporting
  • Take care/ be the Key User of the GTC/Pillar II reporting for the US tax group and Canada
  • Provide guidance on CIS reporting
  • Steer FBAR fillings with IRS together with the advisor
  • Prepare Year-End Audit submission
  • Take care of any BEAT, FDII and GILTI topics
Annual Tax Return
  • Prepare annual tax return together with advisor
  • Calculate tax provision together with advisor
  • Steer quarterly tax payment requirements (federal and state payments)
Sales&Use Tax
  • Be the first point of contact for all sales and use tax related topics
Transfer Pricing
  • Support US tax group and Canada with preparation of TP documentation
  • Review local submissions from a US tax perspective
  • Support introduction/defense of New Transfer Pricing Model in the US together with International Tax Team
Tax Business Support
  • Be the first point of contact for all US/Canada tax related questions
  • Take care of all US inbound tax topics (especially with regards to our US HQ Chantecaille)
  • Stay up to date with US/Canada tax laws
  • Steer ongoing North America reorganization projects together with International Tax
  • Be in charge of ongoing PMI of M&A projects
Advisor Steering
  • Steer US advisors
  • Improve efficiencies
  • Steer Advisor costs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, MBA preferred
  • Any Tax Certifications
  • 7-10 plus years' experience in tax field
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods or related field a plus
  • Ability to work well within a cross-functional team in highly collaborative work environment.
  • Experience working in fast paced environment with evolving deadlines.
  • Proven strong stakeholder management skills with ability to work across all levels.
  • Demonstrated passion for driving of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to find solutions to complex problems without guidance.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates accountability for actions, learns from mistakes and applies learnings.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in hybrid working environment (3 days a week in the office).
  • Ability to travel to NYC for key meetings.
