Job Requirements / Description
Currently partnered with a leading Private Credit Firm in the Southeast looking to add a Private Credit Associate to their team. This individual will play a key role in sourcing, underwriting, and managing private credit investments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit analysis, financial modeling, and deal execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, industry research, and risk assessment.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment structures, returns, and risk scenarios.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating term sheets and loan agreements with borrowers.
- Support the execution of transactions, including working with legal and external advisors.
- Monitor and manage portfolio investments, including performance tracking, covenant compliance, and reporting.
- Collaborate with senior investment professionals to evaluate new deal flow and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
- Prepare and present investment committee materials and recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, or a related field.
- Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of credit agreements, capital structures, and financial covenants.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with deal execution and portfolio management is a plus.
